Did you know that many victims of domestic violence stay with their abuser, because they can’t afford to leave? Allstate Foundation’s Purple Purse Challenge is a public awareness and fundraising campaign aimed at creating long-term safety and security for survivors through financial empowerment. Funds raised will support life-changing financial empowerment services to help domestic violence survivors build safer lives for themselves and their families.
The challenge starts October 2nd and runs through Wednesday, October 31st.
This is an online fundraising challenge. All donations have to be made online through our page at www.crowdrise.com/o/en/campaign/young-womens-christian-association-of-great-falls-purplepurse2018
Any donations not made online – do not count. All donations will be sent directly to the YWCA Great Falls.
The money donated will support our emergency shelter and all of our domestic violence services. Each year, the YWCA Great Falls raises over $300,000 dollars to help victims of domestic violence. This money will help victims of domestic violence live a life free from abuse.
We cannot do this without your support!

As a way to thank our supporters in October, every donor to the Purple Purse Challenge will be entered into a drawing to win a limited-edition purple backpack designed by tennis champion and Purple Purse program ambassador Serena Williams. Serena designed the bag with all women in mind. It can carry a woman’s necessities while making no sacrifice to style as it transitions seamlessly from daytime to evening. Produced in extremely limited quantities, the estimated retail value of the bag is $350.
