25th Annual Salute to Women Gala

In our continuing efforts to 'Empower Women', we are excited to celebrate women of achievement from our community. Honorees are recognized for their contribution to their professions, areas of interest, community or the well being of society.

Saturday, September 17, the YWCA of Great Falls will present the 25th Annual Salute to Women Awards honoring six outstanding women from Cascade County.

April 30: Empty Bowls

YWCA Empty Bowls April 30, 2016


Includes: soup bowl, soup, bread, ice cream, cookies, and beverage. Join us anytime between 11:00am-2:00pm.

Empty Bowls is a project to increase awareness of those hungry in our community. Come out and support Great Falls' YWCA and Mercy Home all while enjoying a hot bowl of soup out of a hand crafted soup bowl created by local artists.

Seminar brings reknowned nonprofit advocate, advisor to Great Falls

United Way of Cascade County, YWCA and Great Falls College-MSU are partnering to bring author of "Fundraising For Social Change" Kim Klein to Great Falls for a full-day seminar aimed at helping local nonprofits and agencies raise money for their causes.

The event is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 13. The early bird registration deadline is May 1, register now. If you register by May 1, the session costs $25 for the first person from an organization, $15 for every person thereafter. After May 1, the cost is $35 and $20 for each additional person from your organization.

March 8: Self Defense Workshop

Join us at the YWCA for a Self Defense Basics Workshop Sunday March 8 from 1-5pm. Did you know there are more than 11,500 women assaulted annually in the state of Montana. Come learn the basics of Self Defense at the Y. Call 452-1315 if interested.


March 28: Walk with Me


The YWCA of Great Falls' "Walk with Me" Short Film Festival will invite filmmakers from across Montana, the United States, and the world to submit short films (thirty seconds to fifteen minutes in length) to be screened on Saturday, March 28th, 2015, from 7:00 P.M. to 9:30 P.M. at the University of Great Falls' McLaughlin Center and Theater. An opportunity to learn more about the YWCA, Great Falls and its programs will be presented at the event to educate both participants and audience members alike. We would also like to engage students and professors from the University of Great Falls and local high schools with interests in social justice issues related to the mission of the YWCA to become involved with this project as either film judges and/or discussion participants as part of the event.

The "Walk with Me" Short Film Festival is also a fundraising event; all funds collected will be utilized for social support services managed by the YWCA, Great Falls.image008
